Lisa has led an active life, blending a successful technology business with the challenges of homeschooling a dyslexic child, teaching Inductive Bible Study classes, being active in church and her community, as well as being a wife and mother who loves organic food and gardening, and still tries to cook from scratch and pack hubby delicious, healthy homemade lunches. When life changed drastically ~ they started over after a failed business, staying on a tiny budget, revamping their lives completely in the new economy. Lisa relates to the incredible challenges women face today with humor and encouragement. She understands exhaustion, bad health, and too many responsibilities with life lived at warp speed, in the digital age, careening forward into an ever changing future. She share’s God’s hand in all things and encourages audiences to look to slow down and look to His mercy, grace and truth, not to the uncertainty of the modern future.
Lisa has written extensively for magazines, writing a monthly column for Family Pastime Magazine for the past 6 years. She has had the privilige of writing several articles and projects for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. After leading Financial Peace University, Lisa's favorite article of all time was an interview with Dave Ramsey. Lisa has spoken at homeschool events, meetings and conferences in California, Georgia, Virginia and of course, in Tennessee. Home School Legal Defense Association President Mike Smith interviewed Lisa on their nationwide Homeschool Heartbeat Radio Program , and did a webinar @home event with HSLDA on being The Prudent Wife .
